Monday Rant #1. Telstra.
By Nick Hodge | July 31, 2006
Monday Rant: We are so close to a Telstra Cell/landline Exchange that to microwave a cup-of-tea, all we have to do is hold the mug outside our bedroom window for about 30 seconds. Hot mug of tea. Yet the ADSL2 install for this area is "on the schedule" for sometime next year! Come on, Telstra - I am chafing at the bit to install more bandwidth into my house so that I can change ISP to Internode and route all my overseas, mobile and interstate calls via Skype. Surely this is worth the investment?

Nick, we've just connectted from ADSL to ADSL2 last Thursday and the difference is truly blissfully wonderful. It's like going from modem to 'broadband' all over again.
I just thought you should know that.

ahhhh!
Now I'm really going green with envy
From my "sources" ping times in games go down to 2-5ms!
Oh well, just have to wait it out.
