Google within del.icio.us using Custom Search Engine
By Nick Hodge | October 24, 2006
I've always wanted a search engine for just the sites I've tagged in del.icio.us.
With Google Custom Search Engine, I've added my del.icio.us subscriptions page to the Included Sites. You could probably do the same thing with Google Marker from your subscriptions.
Yes, a smarter way of setting this up could be a dynamically generated page containing just links from your tags.
The simple connection method seems to work.

Upon checking this out, three features stood out:
1) You can exclude sites that you do not want in the results
2) You can easily do so using the Google Marker
3) Anyone can volunteer to help
So we decided to throw up an experiment to encourage everyone to mark spam sites to be excluded from search results.
Working together as a community we may be able to radically improve the quality of the search results (or perhaps just get in a blacklisting war?)
The result is Putch - http://www.putch.com

Interesting name. I think the title should be "putsch"
I am using akismet here; its saved me hundreds of emails. The concept is interesting: using the google custom search engine as a smart respository. Google has retained all the search operators too, so allsorts will be possible.
