ABC: Leslie Nassar">Podcasting the ABC: Leslie Nassar
By Nick Hodge | April 13, 2007
Yesterday I managed to sneak into the ABC and grab this interview with Leslie Nassar. Liam and I met Leslie at BarCampSydney, and his style intruiged me greatly. Rather than subscribing to his newsletter, I decided to make him famous on10.net.
6 Tb of audio data + 300,000 listeners to ABC Radio National is nothing to sneeze at. Especially when you are doing the bandwidth accounting!

What a cwool and timely interview! I have long been a fan of the good podcasts from ABC (Radio National and some of the JJJ ones like Dr Karl) — great to get some behind the scenes insight.
I’m also keen to find out a little more about the internal CMS ?wallace? — maybe I will be able to get Leslie’s attn via twitter. (if not, maybe uncle nick could pass on my e/mail + intro).

Interesting interview — particularly from a mobile standpoint. I can say though, that I actually watched this interview on my Nokia E90, by just clicking the Ipod video download link. Very cool. But I am one of the lucky ones at this time…
He makes a VERY valid point about the general podcast experience “sucking”, and about the mobile pod/videocast experience being utter rubbish.
We should catch up over a beer Nick, I can show you some cool stuff that we’re doing internally to overcome the mobile issues
